Only 7 kilometers away from Azay-le-Rideau and half-way between Tours and Chinon, it is in the village of Villaines-les-Rochers that osier has been cultivated and woven for centuries. This half-troglodytic village is the capital of basketry, totalising about 50 professional basket makers. There are many hiking trails nearby which all come together in the town centre.
Rose is a basket maker herself and loves to share. She invites you to get to know her profession.
