Severine and Patrick live and work in Saché, a village at the heart of the Indre valley near to Balzac. It is where new fields are perfect for willow plantations. The family has more than 40 years of experience. They rely on regular observation of the plantation and the environment to produce osier of best quality.
Severine and Patrick are both basket makers and are happy to advise visitors according to their wishes and projects. You couldn’t imagine the landscape without osier here: there are hedges, cabins, labyrinth woven with living wicker or jardinières, trellised screens or tontines made of white or raw osier …
There is something for everybody! Severine and Patrick regularly invite other professionals to share their techniques and know-how. They organise workshops and activities, teaching the art of weaving.
A visit to the Gué-Droit farm will make you discover osier from the blossom to the basket.
Severine and Patrick weave on demand and can address any original idea, from the most common one to the most eccentric unique piece.
