This enjoyable stroll shows everything that is typical of Touraine and Anjou: the royal river, stunning buildings, tufa hillsides and forests.
Stop at the confluence and enjoy the extraordinary view of the Gothic collegiate church of Candes-Saint-Martin! Montsoreau is bathed by the waters of the Loire where crowds of migratory birds meet.
In Fontevraud, don’t forget to visit the Royal abbey which houses the recumbent figures of Eleanor of Aquitaine and his son Richard Lionheart.
