This guest house is located in the village of Gennes, typical of the Loire valley and Anjou, between Saumur (15 km) and Angers (30 km).
Petra will give you a warm welcome on her estate which once was an outbuilding of the castle of Joreau. The 3 big guest rooms are authentical and neatly and elegantly decorated. For your comfort, they have an independent access.
A parc of 10 ha invites you to stroll around, have a picnic or just relax. Only a 5 minutes’ walk away you can continue your immersion in nature at the “Réserve naturelle régionale de l’étang de Joreau”!
The “Domaine de Joreau” is the perfect starting point for your discoveries of the regional cultural, natural and gastronomic heritage. The hiking trail GR3 and the “Loire by bike” route pass directly before the property! Or take a trip in a hot-air balloon. In the village, follow the heritage trail. Rose, the washer woman, takes you around her town and back in time to discover life rocked by the Loire waters: Gallo-Roman remains, religious monuments, troglodytes, wash houses, windmills, …
Petra is a Park ambassador and regularly trains to enlarge her knowledge of heritage preservation.
