The forest massif of Louerre holds an important place in the history of the village. The discovery trail invites you to learn about the balance between natural selection and human interventions.
Leaving from the town of Louerre, follow the signs until the entry of the forest. Dive into the sea of oaks, ashes, maples and 30 other forest species.
At the first stop, turn the wheel to understand the cycle of the coppice. A little bit further, have fun looking for hints of the presence of deer, badgers or squirrels. Head on do the moors and climb up the Beauregard tower for a stunning view over the valley.
Louerre is a rural village close to the Aubance spring, with a wash house, beautiful residences and manors such as the Vau, the Bois Noblet, etc. dating back to the 15th to 17th centuries.
It’s a short (2,7 km) but enjoyable walk, perfect for families. In spring, the ground is covered with wild hyacinths!
