Eager to live a unique experience? Choose a stay in an unusual accommodation typical of the region: a room dug into tufa stone, this soft and bright coloured limestone the castles, abbeys and seigneurial residences of the Loire valley are built with. Sophie’s bed and breakfast is a charming and authentical getaway place.
The three guest rooms, one being a family suite, are set up in a building dating back to the 19th century. The bath rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast room is entirely a troglodytic space!
Sophie is a very thoughtful host full of little attentions and great advice. Her guest house is located in the charming village of Coudray-Macouard, not far from Saumur, Montreuil-Bellay and Doué-la-Fontaine. This old fortified city is labialised "Village de charme" (charming village) and "Petite cité de caractère" (small town with character) and is a must for heritage lovers. Along its alleys with medieval looks, you will find many manors from the 15th and 16th centuries, not forgetting the stately houses from the 18th century. It is the perfect base camp for discovering castles, vineyards and other cultural heritage sites of the Loire valley.
Sophie is a Park ambassador and regularly trains to enlarge her knowledge of heritage preservation.
