Located in Doué-en-Anjou, the city of roses, the “Centre des Perrières” is a unique site in France for its troglodytic setting. It is right at the heart of the former quarries: 4,5 hectares of underground stone extraction during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Dug into the shelly sand, deposited by the sea over 10 million years ago, the site is classified "Site environnemental remarquable". There is a succession of underground galleries of sometimes 15 to 20 m height.
The town administration invites you to stay in one of the many rooms. The group accommodation has 2 rentals for a total of up to 58 guests.
Ideally located between Angers and Saumur, close to the town centre, yet in the countryside, you will enter the accommodation from a little picturesque alley full of rose bushes and troglodytic houses. Your stay in the extraordinary place will be an unforgettable experience. You will get a warm and quality welcome.
Doué-en-Anjou has a lot to offer: a huge number of troglodytic sites, the number one producer of rose bushes in Europe with its countless rose gardens and two major discovery sites: the Bioparc and the Mystère des faluns (shelly sand mysteries).
